Easter Message from Dr. Sue

6th April 2020
Happy Easter Everyone!

In these very strange times, I hope you all can have a safe and jolly Easter holiday. I am thinking of you and sending my love and best wishes to all the children, parents, carers and school staff. I miss seeing you and I’m looking forward to life getting back to normal again as soon as possible.

Our Ashdale site remains open with a very small team of staff for a handful of children during the Easter holidays - we are operating Monday to Thursday this week and Tuesday to Friday next, for very few children. We are closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday so everyone can have at least a short break. Government advice says that all children are safer at home. Where it is absolutely essential that children attend school, we are doing all we can to keep pupils and staff as safe as possible by taking every precaution we can against this horrible virus.

I want to say a personal THANK YOU to all staff at The Dales for all they are doing to support the children, their families and each other. Over the Easter holiday, I have asked staff not to set more work for the children to allow everyone to have a break. Staff may add fun activities, stories or games to Facebook, but we know that children, parents, carers and staff need a bit of a rest from working so hard.

We are here if we can do anything to support you - please don’t hesitate to contact us. Glynis and Tracy will be keeping in touch regularly by phone, and, when Ashdale site is open, you can call us if you need to. You can also use Facebook to make contact. We will do our very best to help and support you if we possibly can.

Take care everyone - please stay safe and well.
With my very best wishes,
Sue
