Working Pattern:

32.5 hours per week, term time plus 5 days.

Rate of Pay:

£12.85 – £13.26 per hour (equated salary paid over 12 months)*

* Payroll works out your equated salary using your weekly hours, the number of term-time plus days you work, the bank holidays, and your annual leave entitlement. This total is then divided by 12 to give you a consistent monthly salary throughout the year.

If someone starts partway through the year (for example, in December), the original salary calculation assumes a full academic year’s leave entitlement and bank holidays. Payroll therefore has to recalculate it based on what remains in the current leave year—how much annual leave is left, how many bank holidays are still to come, and how many INSET days remain. The difference between the full-year calculation and the adjusted part-year calculation is deducted from the salary.
