School Health is relaunching the ChatHealth Texting service for 11–19-year-olds in Northumberland
This service offers all young people in Northumberland the chance to access online advice and support from a School Nurse through offering a discreet and quick text messaging service that is safe and easy to use.Ā Ā Whilst they continue to see young people face to face, ChatHealth offers all young people access to health advice in a quick, secure way.
In order for young people to be aware of this support available to them, please find attached aĀ promotional image for the service with the number young people can use to access ChatHealth and seek advice.

National Sleep Helpline

One in four children in the UK are not getting enough sleep, this has an impact on their behaviour and ability to learn, as well as their physical health.

The National Sleep helpline is run by trained sleep advisors who can talk to young people directly, or their parents.

The helpline is open 5 nights a week, Sunday to Thursday, 7-9pm and the number is freephone 03303 530 541.

Parenting Teens and Parenting Pre-Teens Workshops

Early Help Team have a Parenting teens and Parenting Pre-teens Workshop for parents and carers to attend. This is held virtually once a month throughout the year and is a 2-and-a-half-hour session. This is a snapshot of some of the problems parents face with their teenagers, guidance, and support.

Well done to everyone at The Dales for taking part in Children’s Mental Health week!Ā  You have been thinking about what makes you feel good, creatively expressing feelings and emotions and you dressed in your most colourful clothing to express yourself on Wednesday.Ā  There were some fabulously bright colours and hairstyles, you all looked great!
